There exist many rescue organizations for this breed where relinquishing owners can surrender their pets. After it, the dogs are placed into foster families for evaluation and rehabilitation, especially if the former owners have abused them. The dogs are vaccinated, dewormed and spayed or neutered. Every prospective owner has to pay a small fee (from $100 to $200 depending on the area) to cover the expenses on vet care, food and boarding of the dog.
